hand dyed wooden beads

we officially started our holiday gift making this weekend by hand dyeing these wooden beads.
i've wanted to do this for awhile now, and one of the gifts we are making for a few special someone's was the perfect time to do it.
the dyeing process is very simple. 1 container of liquid food coloring to approx. 1 cup of boiling water (or less if desired) and 1/4 cup vinegar. let beads soak for approx. 1/2 hour, stirring them around occasionally since the beads will float to the top being wooden and all (you'll notice in the picture the line on the middle of some of the beads, these were the ones that didn't get stirred as much).
originally I wanted to do this project for the kids to have beads available for stringing and playing with and what not, which is what we will be doing with the leftovers.
